This is kind of interesting. There is currently a construction project going on at the backyard of our humble Campsie home. I walked past everyday…and then one day, as I stood there staring at these wooden fames, I said to myself, why not document the process with photography? Instantly there was a plan (though I am not quite sure how I got there): I would take a few landscape photos at exactly the same place, using the similar camera settings (with minor adjustments according to the lighting conditions) but at different times of the day over a period of days or weeks or until the building project completed. Only two days passed and I was already anxious to see some initial result. So yesterday, I gave myself a crash course in Photoshop animation. And here it is, my very first photo animation was born! Watch out for the completed project…or any ideas?

A former government officer in China, a former arts management graduate from Melbourne Uni; a former media laborer in Sydney...and a current media student and art writer/photographer here I am! Is it difficult to change your residency, work, profession or lover? Yeah, I kind of did all that! I was amazed at how Life turns out in all kinds of unexpected ways. One window shut and another one opened up. View all posts by Mingyue Zhou
